'jungara' a unique colonial style homestead on an elevated 8000 square meter (2 acre) property, surrounded by lush tropical rainforest mountains, situated 12 km from Cairns City and a short distance to the bus stop, local shop, shopping centre, hotel and restaurants, with leisurely drives to the beaches and tablelands. 

“jungara” is an aboriginal name for a black bean tree grown in the  rainforest  mountains surrounding Jungara bed and breakfast.

Local knowledge of the area from your hosts Kim and Marilyn will help you plan your touring of North Queensland, from snorkelling or diving the Great Barrier Reef to nature day tours in the tablelands and around Cairns.
